Privacy Policy:

  1. Acceptance of Terms

Carrizon Express and its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter referred to as “Carrizon”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) owns and operates an online marketplace in Trinidad & Tobago (the “Services”) which is accessible via https://www.carrizon.com (the “Site”). We know that your privacy is important to you, and we work hard to earn and keep your trust.

By using the Site and/or the Services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) in addition to the Terms of Use. By using this Site, either as a customer or a seller, you are consenting to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described below. If you do not agree to be bound by this Policy, you may not access or use the Site.

  1. Changes to the Policy

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Carrizon Express may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Carrizon Express’s sole discretion. Carrizon Express encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If you have a Carrizon.com account, you might also receive an alert informing you of these changes. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

  1. What Information Do We Collect?

Non-Personally Identifying Information

When you visit the Site, Carrizon collects certain information about your device which may include the web browser used, language preference, time zone, referring site, and the date and time of each visit. Carrizon collects this non-personally identifying information to better understand how visitors use the Site. From time to time, Carrizon may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, for example, by publishing a report on trends in usage of the Site.

Potentially Personally-Identifying Information

Carrizon also may collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users accessing or leaving comments on news feeds, profiles, groups or forums on the Site. Carrizon only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the forum where the comment was left.

Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to the Site choose to interact with it in ways that require Carrizon to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Carrizon gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for the Site to provide a username and an email address. Those who engage in transactions on the Site are asked to provide additional information, including the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. We also receive information from our sellers and suppliers about you. This information can include customer service interactions, payments information, shipping information, and information shared in forums. In each case, Carrizon collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to facilitate a visitor’s transaction. Carrizon does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can of course refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that they may be unable to access all the features on the Site.

  1. How Do We Use the Information Collected?

Analytical Information

Carrizon may collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data and may display, publish or otherwise provide this information to third parties. We use data analytics software to ensure Site functionality and to improve the Services. This software records information such as how often you use the Site, aggregated usage, performance data, Site errors and debugging information. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information that you submit when creating an account or engaging in transactions. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Site feature.

Protection of Personally-Identifying Information

Carrizon discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, sellers, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Carrizon’s behalf or to provide services available on the Site, and (ii) have agreed fully, partially or conditionally not to disclose that confidential information to third parties. Some of those employees, sellers, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.

Carrizon will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than the aforementioned persons, Carrizon may only disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information in response to a subpoena, court order, governmental request, or when Carrizon believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Carrizon, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of the Site and have supplied your email address, Carrizon may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or keep you up to date with Carrizon and our products. If you send us a request (for example via email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Carrizon takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
